Let’s begin with two terms; rules and conformity.
Rules: an invisible line that has been created by man to set in place a form of order. Do you follow them, bend them or break them? Each to their own.
Conformity: the act of matching attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours to group norms. Norms are implicit, unsaid rules
Conformity is a type of social influence involving a change in belief or behaviour in order to fit in with a group. Conformity is doing the same as everyone else because someone somewhere said that is how things should be done.
We are a race that conforms. We need barriers.
Imagine a world without these barriers, without people judging your decision making. Without a media network that dictates our purchase habits. Without a government that likes to define the life of a modern human being.
Imagine if there was no conformity and every human did exactly what they loved. Unregulated, unrestricted freedom to explore and bring pleasure to the soul by following their own uninfluenced path.
Hard to imagine a world without barriers, especially as our planet operates as it does because of these regulations.
When it comes to the art of entrepreneurship, I see a new breed, a new crop of human being. A change of behaviours, visualising the possible and a different look at that invisible line that was holding us back. This line for many has moved, for some, has disappeared.
As we progress as human beings in an ever changing, evolving and dynamic planet where possibilities are endless; the grip that was had on us before, conforming us to dictated paths is diminishing, the opportunity for you to chose your own path has never been greater.
